Welcome to Seattle Center
Seattle Center offers Student Showcases in order to provide entertainment as part of seasonal events, and to give public and private schools and youth performance groups the opportunity to share their artistic accomplishments with family, friends and the public.
In accordance with CDC guidelines and the restrictions in place with regard to indoor gatherings, Seattle Center unfortunately will not be able to produce an in-person Student Showcase Winterfest program this year.
Instead, we invite you to participate in this Virtual Student Showcase platform, featuring video content from schools and youth arts training programs.

We have 7 Exhibition Teams with boys and girls ranging in age from 5 years old - high school. These teams perform at schools, retirement homes and other fun community events! The Gymnastics Connection Exhibition Teams have performed at Seattle Center Winterfest for over 10 years and are excited for the opportunity to show off their skills this year virtually!
This video project was created by Kaleidoscope Dance Company in response to the social distancing measures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of our annual Spring Concert. The dancers were asked to capture a 20-second solo of themselves in a special place in their homes or outdoor spaces. The solos convey current responses to the coronavirus and the impact the “new normal” is having on their lives. Each dancer selected two or three words to express their feelings through movement.
Kaleidoscope Dance Company, founded in 1981, is made up of youth ages 7-17 and is based in Seattle. www.creativedance.org

Like many musical organizations, covid caused Northwest Junior Pipe Band (NWJPB) to stop in-person practices. We also had to cancel our summer competition season in the region and postpone our planned trip to Glasgow Scotland where we were preparing to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships But, our organization persevered and this covid montage video captures our activities, our outreach, and our spirit!
NWJPB is based in the North Seattle area and is the only youth-focused pipe band in WA state. We teach kids 8-18 yrs. No prior experience necessary. We compete across BC, WA and OR and every 4-5 years compete internationally in Scotland. Visit nwjpb.org to learn more about our youth band! Recruitment is open.
