Throughout the five weeks of Winterfest, those in search of uplifting seasonal spirit or delightful diversion will find performances, our Winter Train & Village, our annual campus lighting display, and a New Year's Eve Celebration.  Explore all the opportunities available to you below.

Winter Train & Village

Delight in viewing a late 19th-century model train and village display, installed inside the Armory Food & Event Hall. This annual tradition has been on display for over 40 years! The public is invited to interact by participating in our Scavenger Hunt. Pick up your entry sheet at the Train Station, and see how many clues you can spot. The train operates 10am to 6pm daily from November 25th through December 31st. Donations accepted to keep the train operating.

Illuminate Winterfest Presented by Symetra at Seattle Center

Join us for a special opening day celebration on November 25th! There are fun things to see and do all day long, including featured entertainment on the Armory Stage, our Winter Train & Village, Ice Sculpting, firepits and food vendors at International Fountain, all leading up to a countdown at 5:15pm to turn on our Campus Luminata, followed by a special Fountain of Light dance party and light show at International Fountain until 8pm. A perfect way to kick-off the holiday season with light and joy! Presented by Symetra.

Armory Stage Entertainment

Each weekend from November 25-December 29, we'll feature live performances on the Armory Stage, providing visitors with fun, seasonal entertainment while they check out our Winterfest Train & Village, or grab a bite to eat at an Armory food merchant.

Illuminate Winterfest

We are keeping the annual tradition of decking out our campus alive with twinkling lights in the trees and other specialty light features across the grounds. Pop by Seattle Center after dark and delight in the wonderland of light! Sponsored by Climate Pledge Arena. At 6pm each day, we'll present a special campus light show along with curated music at International Fountain.

New Year's Eve Celebration

Our free New Year's Eve Celebration offers entertainment and festivities throughout our grounds. Pop by the Armory between 8pm and midnight and hear the souful sounds of premier Northwest band Groove Nation. At 10pm, head out to International Fountain for a Fountain of Light show, with DJ Arson Nicki providing a dance groove, and Video Artist Baryonyx projecting video onto the fountain. Around midnight, there are plenty of outdoor spots to view the Space Needle fireworks display. Plus, food merchants and other vendors. This is the city's place to be on New Year's Eve!

Winterfest Festál Video Showcase

This season, we celebrate the diversity of our Festál community partners in this Winterfest Festál Video Showcase. You'll find performances, cooking and craft demonstrations and other holiday traditions presented in video form. Available for viewing here via the link below. Virtual Student Showcases

Seattle Center offers Student Showcases in order to provide entertainment as part of seasonal events, and to give public and private schools and youth performance groups the opportunity to share their artistic accomplishments with family, friends and the public. We invite you to participate in this Virtual Student Showcase platform, featuring video content from schools and youth arts training programs. Content available at the link below.

Winterfest Coloring Contest

Download any of our special coloring pages and enter a contest to win prizes! Our decor designer Jeffery Cook has created these fun images, suitable for artists of all ages. Click on the images below to download. Then submit your entry by emailing it to SC.Contest@seattle.gov. We'll post entries on our Facebook page, and each Monday throughout December do a random drawing to pick a winner who will receive a digital prize package. Visit Facebook to view the gallery of submissions. This contest begins on November 25, 2022.
