The Twelve Tones of Christmas presents classic seasonal favorites reimagined through the endlessly fascinating - and sometimes delightfully strange - world of 20th-century compositional techniques. A brainchild of Maria Männistö and Marcin Pączkowski, the program applies 12-tone and atonal techniques to traditional holiday repertoire, offering an entirely new harmonic perspective on familiar melodies.
Featured selections include reimagined versions of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “O Tannenbaum,” and “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
