In it's 31st year, forever changing A/NT Gallery has endeavored to present two and three-dimensional works of art to the public. Many artists display their work for the first time at A/NT Gallery— a uniquely welcoming venue.They might be down, but they’re not out! An awesome team of tireless volunteers have been photographing and video-creating so you can continue to share in the work of this wonderful community. Welcome to Book-It's first ever audio-book season! In their decades-long tradition, they are bringing you bold adaptations of extraordinary stories but in a whole different format. Going all-audio this season has allowed them to play with form, structure, and genre. Of the five “mainstage” audio dramas, three are short stories and are presented as one-shot full-length productions available as an entire story start to finish (Childfinder, The Canterville Ghost, and The Effluent Engine). The other two titles (Mañanaland and The Mandala of Sherlock Holmes) are longer books and are presented as serials, with downloadable “chapters” to make our way through the story. Once you’ve purchased your subscription or single ticket, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the link to access the season or play. Available through June 30, 2021. There’s a story for everyone to enjoy this season, and Book-It can’t wait to share them with you!

Crosscut and KCTS, which comprise Cascade Public Media, offer a variety of resources on COVID-19 including support for educators, parents and kids as they provide distance learning for students. The PBS LearningMedia platform features game apps, videos and a daily newsletter for K-12 learners, plus PBS KIDS, a 24/7 channel for kids ages 2-8. An online Resource Guide contains a Coronavirus news hub and suggestions on ways to share cash, time and supplies with organizations in need. Guide users can also tap into PBS digital news and submit questions for Crosscut and KCTS reporters.

Cornish College of the Arts is proud to present these Virtual BFA Exhibitions for graduating seniors in their Art, Design, Interior Architecture, and Film departments. Though the current of state of the world doesn’t allow us to celebrate the brilliant work of these students in person, these online presentations offer a glimpse into the commitment, hard work, and talent of the school's emerging artists, citizens, and innovators.

The Gates Foundation website now features educator lesson plans. Take up conversations regarding clean water, nutrition, and world statistics in your classroom with their lesson plans geared to elementary and secondary level students available for download.

With music festivals being canceled and venues closed during the coronavirus outbreak, fans are yearning for some live music while they self-quarantine. Thankfully, many artists are turning to the internet to continue to reach their fans. KEXP is collecting a calendar of upcoming live streaming video concerts, as well as featuring recurring performances, in-studio performance archives, and of course you can stream their daily live broadcast.

Classical KING FM is focused on serving their community of listeners and cultural organizations in the best way they can: by keeping the music going, both on-air and online. KING FM continues to broadcast classical music 24/7; they are also facilitating performances and interactions through which listeners and the online community may find joy, companionship, and comfort, including weekly broadcasts of Seattle’s Compline Choir and links to special performances from the KING FM archive, as well as standout episodes of KING FM podcasts like Seattle Symphony Spotlight.

At MoPOP, they take pop culture seriously. Which is why, during this time of coronavirus, social distancing, and the closures of many of our public spaces, including the museum, they want to share with you some of the pop culture that gives us life, distracts us from the tumult, and will undoubtedly lift your spirits. The MoPOP Blog contains lots of fun, among it: a deep exploration of the musical episode of Buffy, a heated debate on how Klingons are depicted in Star Trek: Discovery, their list of recommended ’90s hip-hop albums to listen to in seclusion, and snippets of an oral history interview with Megan Jasper, CEO of local record label, Sub Pop. MoPOP is launching its first-ever book club. For the next several weeks, they will be discussing select stories from Bradbury’s 1951 classic The Illustrated Man. The story collection was chosen because it speaks to MoPOP’s love for science fiction and connects with their newest exhibit Body of Work: Tattoo Culture. Activities happening until May 15.

Listen and Learn with Northwest Folklife! Northwest Folklife supports community building through sharing and celebrating the cultural arts and traditions 365 days a year. Here, they invite you to experience some of the many communities and traditions that thrive throughout the Pacific Northwest. Learn something new or relive one of your favorite festival performances via archived streaming videos, their Northwest Stories and Meet Your Neighbors series, and more!

While Pacific Northwest Ballet waits for the green light to get back to doing what they do best – live performances for live audiences – they are pleased to announce a bit of good news during these trying times: A series of videos of PNB dress rehearsals and performances will soon be available for limited-time viewing online. Watch an encore of Alejandro Cerrudo’s One Thousand Pieces, the recently-cancelled revival of Giselle, Kent Stowell’s Swan Lake, Twyla Tharp’s Waiting at the Station, and George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Videos will be released via Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Facebook (facebook.com/PNBallet) and YouTube (youtube.com/pacificnwballet) pages.

Ignite your curiosity at home with streaming live science shows, hands-on STEM activities, tutorials, interviews, and more. These educational activities and resources are for all ages of learners and are meant to inspire and excite all people about science. Share these Curiosity at Home activities with friends, family, and schoolmates. Then, try experiments together over virtual chats and share the things you’ve learned with the community.

Pottery Northwest might be closed but you can stay connected via their website and social media channels. Studio Manager, Chanda is hosting PNW Friday happy hours at 5pm on Zoom. See some of your favorite Museum Friends and try out activities adapted specifically for you at home with easy, accessible activities and visits with teaching artists, authors and cultural performers. SCM is helping you make the most of those learning moments, using a strength-based approach, and actively working to meet the needs of all learners. They’ll help you take advantage of accessible materials you have on hand and provide tips about early learning and child development, reinforcing school-age skill-based learning, and how to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving by asking the right questions at the right time. Seattle Rep has a variety of upcoming virtual programs including livestreamed performances and events, masterclasses, youth engagement workshops, a play reading book club, artist interviews, panels, and podcasts, and more.

In order to help you get your fix of Shakespeare, Seattle Shakespeare Company has put together a schedule of streaming performances. You can watch performances from Shakespeare’s Globe in London, the National Theatre, New York’s Shakespeare in the Park, the Folger Theatre, and the American Shakespeare Center. All the performances are free or very low cost and don’t require signing up for a new streaming service. Some outlets do ask for a donation, please support their efforts if you are able.

Skate Like a Girl will not be hosting any in-person programming for the time being, but they are offering a variety of programs to keep everyone shredding at home!
