The Northwest’s best storytellers share tales in this annual event. These multicultural stories are taken from world folklore and legends of the season. Get your kids ready to clap, sing and laugh as these interactive stories fire their imaginations.
December 18
11:30am - Charlie Williams, the Noise Guy, tells zany tales with sound effects like the reindeer hooves clattering on the rooftops the Night Before Christmas www.noiseguy.com
12:30pm - Debra Harris-Branham tickles your funny bone with multicultural tales and African folklore.
1:30pm - Fathia Atallah, an Egyptian who grew up in France, sings stories in English & French with a touch of Gypsy www.fathiainseattle.com

11:30am - Kibibi Monie of Nu Black Arts West combines drama & music in folktales from around the world.
12:15pm - Farida Dowler shares folktales that appeal to all ages using her guitar to accompany traditional and original songs. www.faridadowler.com

11:30am - Nancy Calos-Nakano, storyteller-extraordinaire, tells wonderful interactive tales of diverse cultures.
12:30pm - ReAct Theatre presents entertaining versions of the classic story of seven resourceful Chinese brothers who outwit death www.reacttheatre.org.
1:30pm - Allison Cox delights young and old with multi-cultural stories, call and response, singing, clapping, and just old fashioned joining in of telling the tales from hearths around the world www.dancingleaves.com/allison

11:30am - Elizabeth Falconer tells tales of caring and sharing from Japan with puppets and Koto, the expressive Japanese stringed instruments www.kotoworld.com
12:15pm - Payne Filfield unveils magic in storytelling.
2:00pm - Thistle Theatre celebrates the solstice with Mrs. Mistletoe and Friends. The gregarious Mrs. Mistletoe tells legends, dances and sings in celebration. Some of her new friends may be invited on stage to learn an English country-dance www.thistletheatre.org
