In 2007, Chef Josh Henderson created Skillet Street Food in Seattle, one of the first experiences in the national street food movement sweeping the country. Out of a vintage Airstream trailer, he developed innovative lunch menus based on American-inspired food prepared with classic technique and seasonal ingredients. The reception from Seattleites was immediate and passionate. Since then, Skillet has grown up. Today Skillet incudes two successful food trucks, a thriving catering enterprise, a brick-and-mortar restaurant rated among Seattle’s best, and a food products business — distributing its signature Bacon Jam and Pumpkin Sauce products through retailers across the US and Canada.
Skillet Counter is the latest addition to the family, once again providing great food prepared with care, technique and the best of ingredients, along with the innovative experience Skillet fans have come to expect. The menu offers signature Skillet items and a few exciting “counter” additions. Think Modern American Diner…classic comfort food reimaged…like the skillet burger with bacon jam, pork belly and cornmeal waffle…and much more.
Skillet has been seen in Real Simple, The New York Times, Ad Age, GQ, Martha Stewart Living, Sunset, Bon Appetit, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Seattle Magazine, Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and many other local and national publications, reviews and broadcasts.
