The weekend features non-stop Irish music, dancing and children's activities. Festival-goers may participate in genealogy and Irish language workshops and take in the colorful cultural exhibits, contemporary Irish short films and booths selling Irish and Celtic products. Presented by the Irish Heritage Club of Seattle.

Colors of the Irish Culture: Green, white and orange, formally adopted in 1919, with the green symbolizing the older Gaelic majority tradition, the orange representing the minority tradition (supporters of William of Orange), and white in the center signifying a lasting truce between the two Irish traditions. Most Popular Foods: Irish stew made with lamb, carrots, onions and potatoes; soda and treacle breads; Kerry Pies, Porter Cake and Scones with homemade jam and cream. Greatest Source of Cultural Pride: Irish people are proud of their heritage, the island of their ancestors and their contributions to language, literature, art and science. Livelihood: Ireland’s well-educated and young workforce has attracted numerous software, chemical, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. There is also a vibrant seafishing and fish-farming industry and tourism.
