AAPAT Presents The Dream of the Golden Clown – A Visually Stunning Modern Acrobatic Spectacular

Dazzling movements, intoxicating music, and the classic story of a young man following his dream… The award-winning China National Acrobatic Troupe (CNAT) studs Western audience with its latest top production - The Dream of the Golden Clown.

Inspired by a true story, The Dream of the Golden Clown was written and directed by Hengda Li, former Pacific Northwest Ballet soloist and artistic director and choreographer of American Asian Performing Arts Theatre (AAPAT).

The show traces the journey of a young acrobat who overcomes significant obstacles and pursues his dream of winning the world-renowned Golden Clown Award. The performance is a combination of masterful techniques and deep expressiveness. It is the first time in the history of Chinese acrobatics that delicate Chinese classical dance moves were incorporated into astounding acrobatic acts in an effort to deliver Western audiences’ contemporary acrobatics at its finest!
