Accessible Parking Enhancements

Seattle Center is working to increase accessible parking options on the campus with a larger variety of parking spaces in several strategic locations. Click here for a map.

  • Six accessible spaces and an accessible drop-off area have been added to the north end of the Theater Commons within easy reach of the theaters to accommodate patrons, and the loading/drop-off area along Mercer St. between Intiman Theatre and the Phelps Center will continue to accommodate patrons.
  • 19 new accessible parking spaces in Mercer Garage on Level C (Skybridge Level) were added last fall to better serve theater patrons, adding to the existing 29 accessible spaces for a total of 48 spaces.  24 accessible spaces (8 for vans) in the new 5th Ave N Garage also serve the campus core.
  • Four on-street parking spaces on the east side of Warren Ave. N. just south of Mercer St are newly designated with signage for exclusive 24 hour use by those with Washington State disabled placards.  The spaces will offer convenience for both theater patrons and visitors to the campus.
  • Recent improvements to the School District parking lot off 5th Avenue North at Harrison St. include new accessible pay stations and six accessible spaces (five for vans) adjacent to Seattle Center.
  • Seattle Center has secure additional off-street accessible parking close to the Seattle Repertory and Intiman theatres, especially to accommodate vans.

New Theater District and campus access improvements will help visitors and theater patrons navigate their way to and through the campus.  These include:  simplified accessible route signage along Mercer, ADA ramp improvements, and crosswalk and pocket park enhancements on 2nd Avenue North.

Other key campus intersection signal and crosswalk improvements are in the works for later in 2010, and Seattle Center will continue to assess and enhance its accessibility accommodations.

Thank you for your patronage. We look forward to serving you at Seattle Center.
